Cara's eye cracked open as she suddenly felt her bed move. “Cara, wake up!” her Gizamon called before he started jumping all over her. “It's food time!” The blonde rubbed her eyes as she looked at the spiky form of the Gizamon that was her partner.
“You just ate like two hours ago.” She said as she tried to turn over. “Go and sleep some more.” It was then that she heard some soft sobbing from the digimon, but try as she might she couldn't push that sound from her mind. “Spike, please I'm tired!” She said as she plugged her ears, which only prompted the Gizamon to cry louder. Unable to take the wailing any longer, the teenager got out of bed, sparing a glance at the charger that would
forever remain... unused. She remembered what happened when she tried to plug in the Gizamon to the mains when he complained of hunger
before. This time she wasn't that silly, she didn't intend on cleaning up digipoo!
She looked in her sister's bedroom and saw that it was empty and sighed. Trust Skye to have the better Digimon. She was almost jealous of her sister and her Salamon. She seemed to be the perfect companion for her sister. Cara sighed as she headed to the kitchen. Hers just seemed to be a glutton and that was about all sheneeded to know or care about as far as she was concerned. Pulling open the fridge she pulled out some food that required her to cook, but before she could say anything one of the sausages that she had taken out disappeared into the mouth of the Gizamon. “Spike!” She
shouted angrily. “That was mine, it also needed to be cooked!”The Gizamon just gave a toothy grin as he ripped into the raw meat package.
“I refuse to let you try to 'charge me up'again.” He said as he watched his Tamer as she started cooking food for them both. “Fish?” He asked hopefully, knowing that there was some in the fridge. “Pretty please?” After a lot of persuading Cara gave into the little water beast as she put some of the fish on to cook a little before allowing the Gizamon to gorge.
“We're going out.” She said with a small smile once they had both finished eating. “We can't stay cooped up in here the whole time now, can we?” She chuckled as he grinned at her. “You need to get some time out of here, and stretch those legs of yours. Maybe we should go to a beach, you keep telling my that you want to be able to swim, and where better to swim than the sea?”
“Yes! The ocean!” The Gizamon said in glee. “Thank you, Cara, this is the best present ever!” Cara couldn't help but be pleased with the actions of the Gizamon. “Will you swim with me? I would love it if you did, I'll protect you from any other aquatic digimon that could be there, have no fear on that.”
Cara grinned. “We can go to Odaiba, but I would prefer to go to Yuigahama Beach. What do you think?”
The frog-like digimon returned Cara's grin with his own. “Anywhere is fine, so long as I'm with you. Let's go!”
Taking the train with a digimon felt a little weird at first. Especially when she tried to keep Spike close to her. She could feel the stares of the others on the train, Tamers weren't a rare sighting any more, but Cara hadn't heard of anyone else with a Gizamon in the Tokyo area. She was feeling a little self conscious which changed as the train pulled into the station. “C'mon, Spike, let get to the beach!”
The beach as quiet, which was all the better for them. Cara found a place to change and soon was running down into the water, her eyes following the Gizamon as he splashed into the water. She could see the pleasure in his actions as he splashed happily waiting for her to catch up. Today was going to be so perfect!
