Basic Rules
Abide to proboards rules!
---- We do not allow adult content here. This means no graphic sexual scenes. Break this rule and you will be banned with no warning.
Respect Others!
---- It doesn't matter if they're staff or not, be kind to everyone - this includes guests! Remember the golden Rule!
One Character Per Account!
---- If you want another character, please make a new account for it.
Do not face claim hoard!
---- Make sure you play each character you create, and not only in mod threads! If we see mass amounts of characters being created and not played, we will instate a character cap where you must reach a certain condition to create your next character.
Do NOT start OOC drama with other players and bring it to our site!
---- If you have a problem, keep it in PMs or IMs. We will not tolerate harassment.
Try to keep active!
---- We know you may not be able to post every day or even log on every day, but try your best to keep with us if you decide to join. We don't have a requirement on how much you should post, as that's just silly, but if you are going to leave us for a bit, please let us know! Don't keep your RP partners waiting!
Account names!
---- Upon registering, please change your account name to display the first and last name of your character.
Image and Posting Table width!
--- Images posted on this board are allowed a maximum width of 500px. This includes images in posts and signatures, so make sure you keep this in mind when making graphics, as there's a re-size code installed on the forum so you don't stretch it. If it fails, and your image does stretch the forum, you will be asked to remove it or link to it instead. This also includes Posting tables, however we're more lenient on those according to size. So long as they don't stretch our forum, you are alright.
Mini profile images!
--- The images for our miniprofile are a bit different than usual. Your main avatar should be a width of 150px and a height of 300px. The mini avatar underneath is your standard 100 x 100. If you aren't able to crop an image to 150 x 300, please PM a staff member and we will be happy to help you.
Roleplay Rules
Word Limit!
---- In any thread, we will ask for a minimum of 150 words per post.
Do not powerplay!
---- There is no excuse for this. Do not dodge every move or play out moves. Be fair in fights! This also includes no meta-gaming and god-modding.
Anime and game FCs only!
---- No real life face claims will be accepted on our site. Original art will be accepted, so long as you can prove that it's yours or was made for you, and if it falls within the 'anime/manga' appearance and are not 'doodles'.
No killing!
---- You are not allowed to kill another's character WITHOUT their permission. If they do, by chance, give you their permission to kill them, then by all means - have a blast.
Digimon Partners
Choosing your first partner!
---- On SLS, We have two different methods of choosing your character's first partner.
- The first method is fairly simple. There are four groups of digimon - Vaccine, Data, Virus and Mixed. You may choose multiple or just one group and list it in your bio. The mod who accepts your bio will roll you a digimon from the group(s) you list and that will be your partner. If you are unsatisfied with your rolled mon, you get one free re-roll. After that, you're stuck with what you get, as you can not get a third re-roll or go back to your original digimon. So choose wisely. NOTE: Mixed can not be listed as your only choice. If you want mixed, you must choose at least one other group as well.
- The second method is also simple, but comes with a price. With the penalty of having your account start out at -25 exp (more information about exp further down), you may select three specific digimon - I.E. (Gaomon, Agumon, Patamon) - and the mod accepting your application will randomize a digimon from your selection.
Your second partner!
---- On SLS, We allow characters to have a maximum of two digimon partners. How do you get your second partner, you ask? Second partners can be purchased from the point shop and, yes, you choose whatever digimon you desire, so long as it is listed in the digimon partners thread.
Digivolution!
---- Digivolution is a vital aspect to any digimon site, of course. But it's something that must be controlled so its not happening left and right. How we do this on SLS is a breeze. For each digivolution, one must pay a set amount of yen. After you hit a stage with your digimon, the price to digivolve to that stage is halved each time after (you must pay full price for each partner for each stage). However, until your character gains their crest, they may not digivolve past their champion forms. Prices are listed in the point shop.
Crests!
---- Crests are important to digivolution and your character. nobody's partner(s) may hit their ultimate or mega forms until after your character has received their crest - this includes biomerging but excludes armor digivolution. Upon your character's account hitting 100 exp, your character will be awarded their crest and you may digivolve your partner(s) to higher forms. You receive these points through finished threads and, occasionally, contests, raffles or giveaways. If you are not happy with your crest and think a different one would suit your character better, there's a thread with details that might interest you here.
