Lost in Tokyo [OPEN]

TETSUYA SUSHI // 9:00AM // OPEN ______________________________________ It was only a few days ago that Sarah had finally decided to escape her self-made prison. She had spent so much time hiding in the shelter she had found when she first arrived. It had been a couple of months since her and her brother had been attacked and separated. Now, here she was, trying to find some place to start. The first thing she'd needed was a job, but everything in Tokyo was so foreign to her. She'd never been here--all she knew was life at home, one that she'd left several months ago now. The shelter had given her a way to clean the couple pairs of clothes she had, which she carried in her bag. Currently, she was dressed in a white, button-up shirt with the sleeves pulled back, a red tank top, and a pair of light-blue shorts. Her reddish-brown hair was tied back in its usual fashion, leaving a few bangs to dangle over her forehead. A part of her wanted to go back and just hide away where she knew she was (mostly) safe, however, a bigger part of her knew that what she really wanted was to find her brother--or at least evidence of his death. She needed closure before she would even have a chance of moving on... And in order to obtain the resources to find her brother, she needed money--or yen, it was here. And in order to get that, she needed a job. Standing sternly in front of a small restaurant, Sarah looked up at it. It was worded in some Japanese language. She had picked up a few words here and there, and was quite thankful to know that a lot of people here did speak some amount of English. The restaurant before her seemed to be some sort of sushi place, complete with a small, red awning and a rather inviting atmosphere. Sarah had worked as a server a couple years ago while she was still in high school, and hopefully that would help her here. She opened the door, and walked inside. There were a few people seated about the restaurant in the numerous booths and chairs. The walls were a soft tan color, and the floor had fine, white tiling. There were numerous decorations about the walls, pictures with Japanese characters etched into them; a simple yet appealing chandelier; and the tables and chairs had a red and black color scheme to them. "Welcome to Tetsuya Sushi," greeted a polite, feminine voice. Sarah looked over, giving a small smile. "Table for one?" "Actually, I was wondering if you guys were hiring..." Sarah said with a slightly awkward expression. The woman giggled a little bit in response. "I'll go find the manager," the woman said with a quick bow, before moving off towards the back. Sarah patiently waited, hands clasped against the bag slung around her shoulder. How would she find a job in a place where she didn't even know the native language? This must have been what it was like for all those who had come to the U.S. in search of work. It was a side of the spectrum Sarah had never really expected to be in...

mama we all go to hell

God, he hated sushi, hated everything about this place from the bright colors to the pile of food in front of him, or rather...an empty plate. A small impish figure beside him dug sharp gloved hands into what she had stolen from her tamer, hurried stuffing her face and making faces at the japanese children who dared turned to face her. Every once and awhile her sharp green gaze would turn upon the pallid and void expression of her tamer.

He was silent, an lonely english boy who came to tokyo after hearing the disturbing news of the digimon and the pain in the ass visitor shortly afterwards. It had no name, but Floyd didn't think it had one - it was monsterous; a messy, crude, pushy monster who wanted nothing more to do with him to use like some tool. And worse still...it sounded female. Not by frame, but its voice. High pitched and annoying, boyish yet distinct.

Floyd sat, shoulders squared and very stiff as he watched the creature grab the sushi into its gloves and cram them done its throat, crumbs spilling everywhere.

It ignored the sound of the boy's stomach as it let out a growl in soft protest. Instinctively, the Impmon hissed, spitting crums."It's not like you like this stuff anyway." It was true, but did she have to pester him about it? He didn't even hear Her saying anything about the bill that HE would soon have to pay. 

The boy's eyes looked up from the ground, his frown darkening as he set his eyes to the door. He always got put in the most inconvenient place when it came to dining. He didn't do it often; it included going out in public, talking to others, and generally putting up with a lot of things he didn't like. Like children. He scowled briefly before a sound at the door caught his attention. 

Stiffening he silently cursed himself for being the closest table to the doors. He had no plans of catching her attention. But the Impmon had other plans."Hey! You there! Come and sit with us. We don't bite." Her red gloved hands were cupped from her mouth, a bit loud for being only about ten feet away.

Floyd sank in his chair, cheeks darkening from its usual paleness to a rosy blush.

"I would give my everything just to see you smile." TETSUYA SUSHI , 9:00 AM , THOMAS _____________________________ Not far from where she stood, Sarah could hear some voices chattering. They were no doubt customers dining. However, upon a quick glance, Sarah had seen something she hadn't quite expected. "Is that a digimon?" she thought curiously, before quickly looking away. "Hey! You there! Come and sit with us. We don't bite." Sarah almost jumped at the sound of someone calling to her. She looked around, hoping that the creature was calling out to someone else. She wasn't entirely sure of her opinion on digimon as of now--all her experiences with them had been bad. Sarah was never the type to quickly judge one, but she couldn't help but to wonder if all digimon were as brutal as several of those she had encountered. When it became apparent that the digimon was calling out to her, she wasn't sure how to respond. Maybe she should leave? Then again, there wasn't just a digimon there, but a human as well... most likely his Tamer. She had seen those pairs before several times, but she hadn't really interacted with them before. Though she was rather nervous, she also realized that she needed to meet some people. She hadn't really talked to anyone in some time, perhaps it was best to take the opportunity presented to her. Drawing in a breath of resolve, Sarah approached the table. "Hi," this boy didn't look like he was from Japan, but maybe somewhere European? She glanced at the Impmon with a smile too. "My name's Sarah, how can I help you?" She gave off a warm vibe, or at least, she tried to. She couldn't help but to wonder why they had called out to her. Then there was the concern of the woman returning with the manager--she still needed a job, after all.
