Dana chuckled quietly as she watched a young woman sneaking out of the bus with a very heavy looking bag. “Deleria, I think a new player has just entered the game.” She said as she looked at her partner. “My bet is that her partner is in that bag, what do you think?” The little rookie just nodded. “I thought so, let's go and get us another tag on our collar. I know that you're a gentle soul, but this is something that needs to happen so our worlds can become one.” She stroked the head gently. “This is the only way that this can occur, we need to show Milleniummon that he has allies amongst the humans.”
“I still think that you're crazy, you're a tamer yourself.” The Kudamon said as she coiled and uncoiled around her bullet. “He may not take too kindly to you surviving after he's tried so hard to eradicate all Tamers.” Dana sighed. “I see you've had the same suspicions.”
“I was hoping that he would see that we were on the same side and... spare us from his slaughtering schemes.” She said as she sank against the wall keeping her eyes on the tamer, noting her every movement. “If we become his best hunters, we can make ourselves invaluable to him. We can keep ourselves safe.” She smiled. “We will make it through this, we just have to make sure that he knows that we're on his side enough that he allows us to remain together.”
After five minutes Dana saw the tamer move into an alley, and she gave a nod as she pulled out a knife. “Deleria, let's go and catch ourselves a rookie.” She said as she gave a small chuckle as she moved out of her own alley. The hunt was on.
It as as though the woman knew that she was being chased, her gait sped up, making Dana grin more as she tracked her down. She would feel the fear that she should have taken more care of as she stepped from the bus. Milleniummon wasn't the only one that could reach out to the world. He had her. Dana followed Deleria as she tracked the woman, no matter where she hid, the digimon would be found, the traitor would be taken care of, and the tamer... well the tamer would be no more. She would wish that she never went to Osaka. That she had never accepted her partner. She was slowing, Dana discovered, she was tiring. Dana hated the daylight, but it was the best time to hunt.
Eventually she saw the girl panting and she smirked. Silly girl was too exhausted to do much more, and she still had her Digimon cooped up in that bag she was carrying. A hearty laugh escaped her lips. “You weren't exactly hard to track.” Dana said as she played with the knife in her hands. “You aren't exactly the fastest girl out there.” She looked at the floating Digimon beside her. “Deleria had little trouble keeping up with you, now do you want to play, or do you want to run some more?”
“Why... why are you doing this?” The girl asked as she backed away some more. “Why can't you leave us be?” Dana just laughed again. “We've done nothing to you!”
“It's not what you're doing to me, its what your kind is doing to the world.” Dana said as she approached her. “Repent, give up your digimon and beg for mercy and you may survive.” The look of horror and of a stubbornness gave Dana all she needed. “Deleria, it looks like we're going to have some fun after all.”
Half an hour later and Dana was washing her hands and her blade clean of blood. The bitch hadn't given up even until the end, but that was fine. Dana enjoyed watching as the life slowly drained from her eyes. The Betamon that she was trying to protect... It had been so weak, so pathetic. It hadn't even given her much of a fight. She knew that the girl would find little rest until she was 'seen off'. She knew that there was a local shrine that she could visit, and so she decided that she would pay it a visit before heading back home.
Walking up the steps she paused for a moment. She looked at Deleria, she could feel it too. There was another tamer here! Two in such quick succession? Surely she didn't have such good fortune.
