Buzen Zenki
Buzen Zenki Twenty-eight Nefarious Zuzu Crest (mod will fill out) Virus, Mixed FACE CLAIM: Zelos Wilder ANIMANGA: Tales of Symphonia GENDER: Male HEIGHT: Five feet, four inches WEIGHT: One-hundred-thirty-nine pounds APPEARANCE Buzen's not usually a hard man to pick out of the crowd. His parents are both traditional Japanese, but the families relocated there from Ireland in the late 1800s. He has rather long ruby hair that will fall down around his waist at its longest and his pectorals for the equivalent of his bangs. He has pale skin due to his Irish heritage, and his eyes are a beautiful pale blue the same color of a sapphire or a pristine pool. He has a rather slight appearance, and isn't actually very muscled, entirely the result of not really seeing the point of organized sports. He burns most of his calories and keeps himself skinny through the use of his brainpower, which as a genius leaves him drastically more drained than most, and through sex. He's a little short, coming up to only five foot four inches, but he doesn't mind. It helps keep his weight to a nice one hundred and thirty nine pounds, and he likes that. He's confident about the way he looks. Why else would so many people be all over him if he was anything less than drop-dead sexy, after all? Buzen is rather odd in how he likes to dress. While he has a variety of outfits, a certain theme tends to emerge. A single white headband to keep his hair from falling in front of his eyes; a nice spandex shirt, usually black, that is either little more than a wrap or has small straps, like an undershirt; a covering, usually of pink or brown with golden accents, that will string together over his chest and cover what needs to be covered; a pair of black sleeves with matching outer coverings that stretch from just underneath his armpit down over his arms; a golden pendant on a bit of fishing wire and studded with two circular rubies; a pair of soft white pants held up with a brown leather belt with a golden buckle; and a pair of yellow boots with white accents. Yes, it's extremely odd. He sits around in an office all day making phone calls and handling most of his work via email or online transactions, honestly, it's not like he needs to dress up for anyone. For when the situation demands it, however, he will put his hair up in a braid tied with a violet ribbon and part the bangs over to the left while he adorns himself with a white and green suit with light green accents and red frills at the collars, white dress shoes and kid gloves accompanying the outfit. That's only for business meetings though. The whole thing really is too stuffy for day to day things, and not even Daisuke's commands would convince him to make it a permanent wardrobe change - thankfully, the man doesn't seem to mind, so the outfit sits in the back of his closet, rarely used. HISTORY Buzen was born an only child. He'd never really had much as a kid, having grown up rather poor, and as such, he was used to having to give things up in order to keep going. What luxuries he had were few and far between, and he always had to guard them fiercely in order to keep them from being stolen. With his stomach sometimes left to go through the night without having anything inside it more solid than water for twenty-four hours, the boy had more than enough motivation to want to better himself to escape the hell. But rather that resorting to stealing, as many of his fellows would in the same situation, he instead focused on bettering himself, making use of the intelligence he was born with to refine it further and thus give him an edge. Why steal when you could learn how to take advantage of the existing system? The boy was bright, exceptionally so, and when he entered school, it soon became apparent that he was more than just gifted. He was a prodigy. He skipped several grades as a child, and by the time he was sixteen, he had already graduated from high school. More importantly, however, was that his innocent time was over. He was drawn into the gang scene because of his prowess with numbers and his love for money, and from there, he soon found his calling. He loved taking the money and hiding it away, making money off it, and the thrill of keeping it safe from other gangs and authorities was one that gave him an intense high. In two years' time, he graduated, but it came at a high cost. The gang he'd been working with had been falling into petty infighting, and he could tell that there wasn't any hope in the gang. What he did instead was begin working with the money, taking advantage of being the sole person with access to the books to begin relocating the money. He had the efforts of a few friends to thank for the extra year he needed to move all the money around, and when the police investigation finally caught the gang, he was careful enough to keep himself from having enough evidence to implicate him. He expunged himself from the gang records, essentially hiding himself, and then he bode his time. He had to wait until he was twenty-four before he could start tapping into that money for more than bare essentials without eliciting detection now that it had been sufficiently scattered, but as soon as he had the chance, he made ample use of his funds, opening an investment firm and using his skills with money to try to go legitimate and repay his debt to society so that he could make a new life for himself. A year after that, however, he found that he was rather... restless. He missed the gang life, the drama, the rush, everything. He missed the thrill of avoiding the police and playing with money. Maybe that was why, when he was approached in a bar by a young man looking to start a gang and having heard whispers of the redhead's ability, he agreed. The gang grew for three years, the funds kept well by the redhead, and he was even making a good bit of returns off the money that he had hidden. He found himself fighting with his superior by day, but by night... the redhead was tangled in the sheets, his heart slowly falling for the younger man who was intimate with him. If someone asked him, Buzen wouldn't be able to put his finger on an exact moment when he began to suspect that the other's "I love you" was false; maybe he knew it was the beginning, he just kept it locked away in the depths of his heart just because he was so desperate for his feelings to be returned. Either way, however, the man began to doubt, and when he dug deeper into his lover's actions, he found out the truth. One of his underlings was conspiring to kill him and take his position, and his lover was helping him plan it. Hurt and unsure who he could trust, Buzen did the only thing he knew would keep him alive: He faked his own death, burned the files with the passwords, wiped the records of accounts to buy himself some time, stole whatever money he thought he could get away with, and ran. It was while he was on the run that he met his partner, the Digimon being the only one he knew he could trust. Since then, he's been hanging around in Tokyo, the guilt over not trusting his best friend in the gang keeping him from being able to just purchase a ticket and leave the country. Sometimes he'll think about what he once had, and the thought just... burns him up. It infuriates him and saddens him all at once. Maybe that's why he's sworn to get his revenge. He'll make them pay for trying to toss him aside like little more than garbage. And that's a promise.
