JULIE CASSIDY
Julie Cassidy Nineteen Nefarious Jules Twilight Virus FACE CLAIM: vorona douglanikov ANIMANGA: durarara!! GENDER: female HEIGHT: 5'10" WEIGHT: 149lb APPEARANCE jules is a fairly tall and muscular woman due to a tomboyish upbringing. something of a health freak, she takes very good care of her body with constant exercise and the best cosmetics money can buy. though she has always been considered attractive by others, she caves in to insecurities and is rarely seen without light and natural-looking makeup. it wouldn't be the first time she's avoided answering the door because she was in the middle of creaming her face or trying some new ointment. still, she has a healthy glow to her, with bright blue features, shoulder-length blonde hair and small but full lips. as a young child, julie was a very cute girl. after her mother died when she was four, she became the only female in a family of two older brothers and a father, all of whom doted and protected her fiercely. of course she loved them as well, and many afternoons were spent not with her friends but with her family. her brothers drew her into sports and video games, while her father taught her everything he knew about cars and mechanics. all in all, julie had grown accustomed to being the center of attention of just about everybody, but she had always been a good girl. she obeyed her father and never abused the safety brought from her brothers. she was the one girl that could do no wrong. the one that got straight-a's, made the varsity team, played in concerts. the one that worked charity, worked a second job, and had a line of boys working up the courage to ask her out, only to add to the chain of rejections. nobody really knew how julie cassidy did it and stayed alive. it was almost inhuman to be so perfect, so good, so popular. she was that one kid everyone loves and also loves to hate. but she was certainly human, and the way julie vented out her frustrations was with a cold, deadening purpose. other students caught glimpses of it sometimes: the way she personally carried her dog to be euthanized, the way she didn't blink during sad documentaries, the way she wanted to learn how to use a gun. there were only a certain amount of people in her life that saw that side of her... the side that made it clear julie was the kind of person that wouldn't flinch at a dirty but necessary job. still, even though she was certainly most likely to behead her best friend if that best friend were to become a zombie, julie remained friendly and warm for the most part. a precursor. it was only when she moved to college did she start to succumb to bad influences. you give a girl who has practically everything the freedom to explore her boundaries... well. without her father to guide her and her brothers to advise her, julie grew lonely and bold. her sweetness and innocence started to turn into something a little more dark, a little more adult. it wasn't long before she realized that with her looks and smarts, she could persuade a whole lot of people to do the things she wanted and to reel in favors. in fact, julie was well on the way to becoming a college drop-out in her freshman year, if not for the fact that she met her digimon. its sort of like throwing the whole pregnant-here-comes-the-baby thing onto a teenage mother. julie had no idea how to handle it, but given responsibility like that... she obsessed. she did her best, and her best was a lot. she wanted her digimon to grow strong, to know good from bad, and in so doing revitalized herself again. now, at this point in her life, julie is at that awkward in-between where she has a good heart and sentiment, but is willing to do some very cruel things indeed for 'the greater good.' case in point: she's vicious when it comes to protecting her digimon. basically, the end justifies always the means. MEMBER NAME: stallas AGE: 18 OTHER CHARACTERS: n/a ROLEPLAY SAMPLE He had no doubt that she 'could do better,' though his gut was telling him that it could be taken in more ways than one on purpose. Still, for the sake of this conversation, he applied it to the vicious look she could laser people with. It was most certainly some sort of self-defense mechanism, though it was equally certain that she wasn't using that 'ability' for evil on him, at least not on full power. But even if she did, he doubted that it would influence him much. Out of all the types of people in the world, he was probably the best suited to handle abuse, as it were. And besides, he had used the same trick many times in the past. And he felt compelled to look into her eyes as she talked about his name. It was just something about it, in the same way she spoke, in the same way that she held his hand; there was quite literally something burning up inside of her that commanded his attention. Her words were kind of reassuring in that someone on this Earthland liked his name, though that pleasant surprise was overshadowed by the manner in which she said it. 'If I were anyone else, she'd be far too intense for me,' he decided. 'There are some people in this world that scorch fiercely, and dare others to stare into their light. But you can't deal with them in the only way they know, or you'll go blind.' With that in mind, he looked away from her. She appeared to be hinting that he had made an impression on her earlier in the day, and had some strange fixture to the idea of permanence and stability. He wouldn't have thought her as someone who craved, in their heart, a home and hearth, instead stubbornly sticking to a no-attachment lifestyle. |
