Maybe less then that. Blue hair hanging down in his eyes and framing the sides of his face. He likes to keep his hair short because of swimming. His eyes are a blue color almost like pool or ocean water. His only scars are on his legs and one on his left side right where his ribs are. Ryou really doesn't like showing off his body unless he's swimming so no one usually sees how he looks. Now common wear is his school uniform unless he's wearing his swim trunks which are purple and black. He tends to wear those under anything. Usually if he's not in school it's blue clothes, or even just a blue shirt with a black tank top underneath it. Black or blue pants, usually black seems more his style. He doesn't wear much around his dorm room or house if he's alone. Known to stand around in an apron and shorts a lot. Ryou has a habit of collecting things with fish on it. So some of his shirts, pants and jackets have fish on them. Fish lover that he is it wouldn't be surprising if he has some kind of fish on his boxers. His typical expression seems to be a bored or emotionless one. Ryou's expression only seems to change around water, or things that interest him. And sometimes people on the rare occasion. The moment each child was born, the parents made plans for them. While his siblings grew up as normal children who talked to anyone Ryou didn't. He spent time out by the pond in the back feeding the fish and talking to them instead. No matter how hard his parents tried to get him to socialize he refused. It really didn't help that Ryou's siblings teased him for spending more time with fish then people. He didn't like making friends, they all left him anyway so what was the point for that. The child could barely communicate anyway, it just always made him feel uncomfortable. Being the second to youngest child he was left in his sibling's shadows, always trying to be as good as they were. Trying to get his parents to see what he could do. Good grades went mostly unnoticed which Ryou wasn't exactly surprised by. His parents didn't hate him, they just tried to juggle all the children. And over time eventually managed to do that while Ryou spent his time around the other family living next to them. The oldest child in that family was always his best friend, and would always be. He started to talk to him more, and smile more. Opening up about everything. The two boys always worked together when it came to just about everything they did. But he didn't know how long it'd last, or when it'd end. Which made him feel really upset about basically everything. Ryou couldn't help being clingy to the one person who made him actually feel wanted. However a few years after meeting it was Ryou who had to leave. Not his best friend, and he fought with everything he had to keep from leaving. His father had to get a better job, his father had to get a better life. One he didn't like or approve of at that point. But what could he do? Ryou had to leave as much as he hated the idea. He told his best friend he'd talk to him later. They would communicate through emails and everything else after he moved away. He had actually been on the computer one night with his friend when he discovered his partner creature. He remembered spamming to his friend about it, and not knowing what to do. It's not every day something just appears in your bath and splashes around with you like it's supposed to be there. So he's still not entirely sure how to go about this, he just wants his friend back so he can have someone to share his worries and his awkward partner with.
