I got a heart full of pain, head full of stress There was little to no rhyme or reason as to where Griffin went, and when he went there. Being in the position he was, he frequently found himself wandering - not only doing his duties, but he found that it relieved some of the stress that pressed on him day in and out. Though, the place he found himself today gave him some rather... conflicting feelings. The last time he had been here was with his mother, training with her on the snowy mountain tops, a memory which now found itself rather sore. Comming to a stop, the boy stopped, hands finding their way into his pockets as his head tilted upward, eyes focusing on the snow that fell calmly around him. Releasing the breath - coming out as a small, cloudy puff - he thinned his lips, trying to get his mind on a different track... but as always, it refused to budge. And his partner seemed to pick up on this. Curling himself closer around his neck, trying to keep Griffin as warm as he could as they slowly scaled the mountain, Taliesin hummed softly, grabbing his tamer's attention, "Griffin..." the Kudamon began, shifting to look at the raven haired man's face, "You can't keep dwelling on things... it will only hold you back, distract you. This place is dangerous, we need to be careful." With a small sigh, Griffin felt his shoulders droop, his gaze falling to the untouched snow before him, "How can I..." he returned, voice little more than a mutter, "It was my fa-" "No, it wasn't - and your mother would say the same thing." Tali interrupted, giving his tamer a stern glare, "And one day, you'll finally listen to me and understand it! After all... how are you supposed to carry on her duties like this. We need to be strong. If not for yourself, than everyone else!" besides, idiot... if it weren't for me, you would have joined her that night when you DID try to do something... Tali added mentally with a roll of his golden eyes. Falling quiet, not quite up to arguing with the ferret at the moment, Griff clenched his fists within his pockets and moved on. Each footstep through snow almost ringing through his ears with the eerie silence that surrounded them - not even the wind seemed up to moving about. "Let's just get this over with... we're kinda here for a reason..." "And what reason is that?" "To check things out." Griffin stated plainly, trying not to snap. There had been rumors of rogue digimon running about the mountains lately, terorrizing the few people who either dared or were just plain stupid to live out here... that was his excuse, at least... though they both really knew why they were here. "And to get some fresh air... the city clouds my head." Leaning against the trees as he climbed, using them to keep himself from slipping and sliding back down the mountain, the ground underneath the snow a little more slick than he thought it'd be, Griffin bit his lip and looked upward once more, doubting this idea a little. "Are you sure this is the best of places to 'clear your head' then, Griff?" "Shut up." But he'd never admit that he was doubting it to the Kudamon. No... he was too thick headed and stubborn for that one. handful of anger held in my chest |
