just your average, ordinary, everyday superhero...
Tristan could tell that Maximus didn't want to be here. The Labramon was on edge, fur bristling up and growling softly, jumping at any snap of twigs. Honestly, it was almost enough to make the cop reach for the gun holstered at his waist, if he were a less confident man. He could see why the Rookie was so ill at ease with the forest; the trees almost seemed hostile overhead, as though begrudging him every step he took deeper into their midst, and if it weren't for the reassurance of his radio on his shoulder, waiting for him to call for backup if he needed it, he probably would have left. Of course, not that leaving was an option. There had been a call of someone injured in the forest with lots of Digimon nearby, and since no one else on the shift had a Digimon partner, Tristan had been chosen to investigate the call. Even if he was wary about having to go out alone, especially after what had happened to his friend, he wasn't about to desert someone in need. "Stay alert, Max," he called, tempting the canine-like Digimon away from the log he had been bristling up and baring his teeth at. "We need to stick to the real threats here." "But there's ghosts here, Tristan," the Labramon whined, even if he did scamper closer. "I can smell it." "Smell it or not, the quicker we get through with this, the quicker we can go home and play fetch, okay?" he compromised, earning himself a nod from his partner. Unknowingly, in the shadows cast by the close-knit trees, the two were being watched by a pair of glowing red eyes from the brush. They were in graver danger than they thought... | Words;; -- Tags;; Open Event Lyrics;; "Everyday Superhero" by Smash Mouth Template by Kuroya Notes;; The eyes are that of his mercenary, Dixie, who he hasn't met yet.
