So it had finally happened and she had finally left. She had packed up her backpack, stuffed everything she thought she would need into every available pocket, threw the thing onto her back and hot footed it right out of her father's apartment and his life into the great wide open world beyond the walls. And now here she was, heading towards Tokyo on foot in a half attempt at finding the next protected city and seeing another ghost from her past. Either way she looked at it, she was on her own now-

"Are we there yet?"

Well, not entirely on her own, she had Otto with her; the bear Digimon that had sought her out only a few weeks back and hadn't left her side since. It felt weird at first, but the longer she spent with him the more attached she seemed to become. He was just like a little brother, ototo-chan, Otto as he had failed to pronounce and had thus dubbed himself; although it didn't seem to be much of a problem for him, especially since he had told her that there were others like him out there. Digimon called Bearmon that looked just like he did, his cousins and siblings. It was interesting to hear such a thing, but Kana didn't really understand it; how could he have so many cousins and siblings that looked exactly like he did? Where they all just twins of each other? Or were they clones- copied and pasted particles of genetic information.

"Kanaaaa, are we there yet? Are we in Tokyo, I'm tired- let's take a break."

"Yer tired? Funny you say that, 'cus you ain't even the one that's walkin'!" Kana stopped in her tracks and yelled over her shoulder at the smallish bear that had crawled onto her back and latched himself to her head, riding her shoulders as if she were his own personal mule, "Get offa me if yer gonna be belly achin'- we're not even there yet."

Otto slipped off of Kana's back and landed with a grunt on the dirt road before picking himself up and looking around, adjusting his backwards blue cap on his head before speaking in a voice full of awe, "Then where are we?"

Kana walked up beside Otto, staring up into the treeline along with him.

"Lost," she said this very matter-of-factly and allowed herself a deep sigh, Otto just nodded his head in agreement, "Yeah, we're lost."

FLYING ON THE WINGS OF MY DESTINY ❀

Kokumamon had started giving off sparks while at home. It was a silent indication that he was getting restless, and Shuusei sure did not want to set the house on fire. Too bad he didn't have anything for Kokumamon to do back at home, although he was useful at times, especially during blackouts. Kokumamon would provide electricity. Although it sounded horrible, he guessed Digimon, in a way, were like tools after all. Still, he needed to leave before all that electricity built up in Kokumamon's body. Somewhere not in the city, preferably. People were already scared of Digimon, and even more so of Tamers. Shuusei never asked to be a Tamer to begin with, so how did he even become one? What was the requirement for being a Tamer in the first place? It took them about an hour to reach Aokigahara forest. Good, there was a lot of dirt, and a lot of open areas. Various ways for Kokumamon to discharge!  "Kokumamon, let's head--" And he runs into something, or rather, someone.

Kana had been so caught up with staring into the overhanging trees and the beauty of the sun drifting down to them from in between the leaves and branches, that she hadn't noticed the boy walking towards them, or the Mon that was trailing after him. She turned her body to walk in the direction the male was coming from her mind still focused on the beautiful scene above her; it wasn't until the very last minute that she heard his voice:

"Kokumamon, let's head--"

The sound of the boy surprised her into refocusing her attention, but to no avail, the two had collided and the force of it sent Kana stumbling backwards until her foot made contact with Otto's un-moving form- "Oomph!"

She had fallen and had landed hard on her full backpack, causing her to pitch to the side and roll in the dirt a little from the pain that shot through her shoulder blades and mid-back. This sudden movement caused her cap to flip off of her head as well and land somewhere on the ground where she had first made contact with the earth; revealing the wicked hat hair that she constantly kept hidden beneath the protective covering of her cap.

"Oooh-oh-oh- ssss- that smarts-" she managed to roll onto her knees and press one of her hands to the small of her back, where her radio had jammed into her spine, before she slowly glanced over her shoulder and glared at whoever had run into her, "What're you thinkin'- you blind or somethin'?"

Groaning, she rose to a kneeling position before lifting herself up off the ground and slowly turning to face the aggressor- and discover that he didn't look aggressive at all. In fact, he looked to be quiet the opposite- attractive even. She didn't know how to deal with attractive.

"Oh...uh, hi," she continued to rub her back as she stared over at him, "You, uh, gave me quiet a fright, eheh..."

"What's wrong with your voice?"

WHUMP!

"Ooowwaa-"

After swiftly kicking Otto in the knee, she gave a nervous smile and began to wipe the dirt casually off the front of her skirt, her face red from embarrassment and- oh, mercy me, a boy- other reasons, making her completely oblivious to the fact that she had just rolled around on the dirt road and so her outfit was covered in it; the little hand swipes to the one spot on her skirt doing nothing for her.

He was knocked backward, thrown to the dirt ground like an basketball whose shot went wrong, and landed on his back. He let out a pained groan. Boy, he was sure gonna have some nasty bruises on his body later. Apart from his own voice, he heard the voice of another person. Probably the one he had bumped into. That was strange. How could he have not seen her? Or was he really that out of it that he wasn't even paying attention at all? Why didn't Kokumamon warn him in the first place? Shuusei pushed himself up by the forearms, just using the necessary strength required. From the corner of his eye, he could see Kokumamon making an attempt to help him up, but one look from Shuusei forced him to back down. The last thing the both of them needed was the Tamer getting shocked to death by his own Digimon, and let's just say it was better if he didn't need to try it. "Are you okay?" he could hear his own Digimon asking him, making sure that he wasn't severely injured. Shuusei nodded hastily. He heard words of hostility being directed towards him. Shuusei quickly got back onto his feet. It seems that his fall wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. If anything, the girl on the ground had it much worse. It was rather obvious that she had tripped over her own Digimon in the process. What made Shuusei more curious was that the girl had a Digimon as well. That meant she was a Tamer, just like him. In a split second, the fallen girl had become a rather meek person, instead of the fiery person she had been moments before. He stretched out his hand towards her, giving her a look of concern. "Sorry, did I hurt you?" Shuusei inquired.

She was giggling, it was weird and sickening to hear that noise coming from her own mouth, but it was like she couldn't stop herself. In the background, she could hear Otto stomping around in the dirt and wondered what exactly he was doing behind her; was he making a scene, did he wander away from her and further into the forest? Turning for a moment she glanced over her shoulder and came eye to eye with the white snake logo on her cap.

"Oh..." was all she could say, she hadn't realized that the thing had fallen off her head. Reaching out, she took hold of it and held it in her hands for a moment before she realized what it meant: her head was bare and her hat hair was free for all eyes to see. Quickly, she pulled the cap tightly over her head and stared cautiously over at the boy that had also been knocked over in their collision.

"Are you okay?"

A crackle of a whisper could be heard coming from- whatever- that thing was that was looming over the strange- yet attractive- boy.

"Could it be-"

"Kokumamon!"

Kana looked from the new Digimon to Otto and then back again, he seemed to have the same idea she had as he waddled forward almost instantly and greeted the new Mon.

"Hey, hey, it's been- maybe we haven't met yet- Bearmon? I go by Otto now, but I'm still Bearmon on the inside- hi." once again, Otto seemed to lack the ability to properly introduce himself to another being. He had done the same when they were first introduced.

"I'm a Digimon- your Digimon- let's....save people? Yeah...that sounds right- hello."

Always the graceful one.

"Sorry, did I hurt you?"

A new voice entered the conversation and Kana removed her eyes from the pair and trained them back on the owner of said new voice.

"Ah- yeah,- I mean no, 'm fine," she stared at his hand for a long moment, trying to decide what it is she should do before she slowly extended her own and clasped it in his. What happened to the eager beaver from before when I met Tzila? She pondered over this thought as she held onto his hand, not all that sure she wasn't having a stroke or a heart attack with all the fluttering in her chest and the heat in her face. It was ridiculous, he was just a boy, and a stranger at that, why was she getting so worked up about it? Maybe that was it, he was a boy- maybe being a boy just gave him a one way ticket to awkward Wakana town. It wasn't like this was new, really...she seemed to get like this around all boys, but now she was touching one-

"I don't think he remembers me," Otto's voice broke through Kana's haze of thoughts "He didn't talk much but- what's wrong with your face? Are you holding hands? What's going on here?"

Kana quickly removed her hand from the boy's and stepped over to her Mon, stooping to scoop him into her arms and pull him closer to her so she could get a hold his muzzle and keep it closed.

"Hush up, ain't nothin' goin' on, Otto," she looked up to the boy again an awkward smile returning as the poor Mon struggled, "Ehe, don't mind him...he's...young."

"I'm not young, I'm rookie! And you look like you ate something spicy 'cause your face is all red."

He broke free for a moment and growled up at Kana, poking at her chin with his bear claw, before she got a better hold on him and he relaxed in her arms, laughing to himself as she continued to blush.

LIFE GOES ON LET'S MOVE ON @hisakawa ❀

"We met before?" Kokumamon asked, with a hint of surprise in his tone. He met all sorts of Digimon before he finally found his dear Tamer, and even then they all went by the same name. Bearmons were usually addressed as Bearmon, Renamons were addressed as Renamon, and so forth. The bear introduced himself as Otto. He then turned to Otto's Tamer for a brief moment before turning back to his own. "Have you met the both of them before?" With Kokumamon's question in mind, Shuusei stared at the girl in front of him, trying to recall any memory of meeting her before, as she hastily pulled her hand away from his and went over to promptly shut her Bearmon up from sprouting anymore nonsensical things. After a few moments, Shuusei shook his head, an indication of a 'no'. The bear was starting to talk funny. Seriously, what was that bear talking about in the first place? He peered down curiously at the blushing girl in front of him. Why was she blushing? Shuusei didn't know, and he couldn't be bothered to find out. "Shuuseiiiiiiiii~! Let's go shock somethinggggggg!" Okay, he'd better leave before those two ended up getting shocked by his Digimon's. He walked ahead, leaving the girl behind for a moment, but then.... "Why not we ask them to come with us?" Shuusei halted in his steps. Well, he didn't have a reason not to, and he couldn't just directly lie. Given that they were in the woods, there wasn't anywhere they could rush off to, or even make excuses. He turned around, with great reluctance. "Hey, you coming? Kokumamon wants you to join us."

As Kana sat on the dirt road and pacified her companion, she stared over at the boy's digimon. She had never seen it before, but in all honesty, she had only ever seen two digimon in her lifetime; so the fact that she didn't recognize it meant nothing to her. She recalled vaguely that Otto referred to the other Mon as Kokumamon.

"Kokumamon..." she mused, her hand still clasped around Otto's muzzle as he reclined against her, almost as if he were enjoying her attempts to keep him quiet, "I swear Otto, you're the weirdest little thing-"

She was staring down at her partner, mumbling softly to him as she proceeded to shake his head back and forth by the grip she had on his muzzle. His response was a raspy giggle that sounded more like a squeak and a growl and was interrupted by Kokumamon's sudden exclamation. Glancing up in a distracted matter, she noticed that the boy and his mon were in the process of walking past them.

"Wha- wait a minute-" it was at this point that Otto took it upon himself to open up his jaws and give the hand she was using to keep them closed a good lick, slathering them in a thick, moist slobber that made Kana look down at her hand in disgust. She was about to bean her companion with a well aimed clenched fist when she heard the small voice from before crackling behind her.

"Why not --- come with us?"

Kana gave Otto a decent glare to let him know that she owed him a good swat before absently wiping her hand on her skirt and glancing over her shoulder.

"Hey,"

She straightened.

"You coming? Kokumamon wants you to join us."

The way he was standing and the underlying tone of his voice was lost on Kana as she processed what it was he was asking of her.

"I-uh-"

"We should go with him," she turned her head back to the now free Otto who was standing at her side and staring off in the direction of the two, "He could lead us to the city after, Kana- right?"

Her mon stared pointedly at the boy as he spoke, asking for him to become their guide without really talking it over with Kana first. For a moment, Kana didn't know what to say. She had a set plan for the two of them and didn't like straying too far away from it, but in all honesty her so called plan had gotten them lost. She had somehow landed them in a forest when they were supposed to have been following the high way all the way to Tokyo. It would be a bit degrading to her pride to admit she was lost to a stranger, but there was a lot more on the line than a shallow feeling like that to stop her.

"Yeah- alright," she rose from her kneeling position in the dirt and swiped at a few more splotches on her ensemble before looking back to the boy, "We'll tag a long for a spell- but I- I, uh, would thank ya kindly if you could help us out a little afta. You see, we got ourselves lost on the way to the city and we're in desperate need of a good point in the right direction."

She was blushing again.

"What d'ya say?"
