She glared- annoyed by the bustle and nauseating activity of the city she had been stationed in for a few weeks; along with a few others Vesper Isles had been switched out with other officers who had been assigned to the streets of Tokyo prior, and now it was her duty to keep the area free of crime. Sadly that was an even harder task than it may seen. With the large area to cover and the sheer amount of people who lived and visited the huge city taking care of everyone and keeping an eye on them was an impossibility Vesper didn’t even bother attempting. Instead she focused at the core of Tokyo, patrolling the streets on foot as her partner for the day drove the patrol car around the blocks.

It had been quiet in some sense; the noise of everyday life was nothing but obnoxiously loud however the amount of idiotic teenagers and even more stupid adults doing whatever they wanted wasn’t as bad at it had been days before. Maybe she wasn’t in the right area or they had gotten used to the authorities schedule, but she highly doubted they simply stopped. Some dumb kids breaking into cars for the thrill who had gotten caught may possibly stop, being too scared to attempt it a second time, but the mass majority of them were more than likely doing what they had always been doing. Causing trouble.

She sighed, fingers clenched around the bridge of her nose as she leaned against a vacant wall in the middle of two small stores. From the distance a young man was walking away from her, glaring back at the exhausted woman ever so often until the figure was blurred in the traffic of Tokyos inhabitants. Despite years on the job it still amazed and baffled her as to why some people acted the way they did, as though they were exempt from the law or the world they lived in had no order. While it was nice to ruin the ‘fun’ of others who only sought to ruin the days of civilians who were doing their duty in life every moment like it tore at her already shredded patience. She could feel it slip away right in front of her and she was too caught up in everything else to grip and return it to its place.

An animated yawn and bored groan brought Vespers eyes open from their closed state, bring her attention down to her feet where the small golden lion Digimon sat. Impatiently the cub pawed at the ground, flicking his tail hard against her pants leg as he yawned again with eyes watching his tamer stare back at him. “What?” she asked, her tone sharp and unamused by her Digimons need to pester for her attention. Grinning as best as the beast could, fangs of white showing under a sliding tongue, the Leormon got up, stretching before finally speaking up. “I’m hungry! We’ve been out all day dealing with people. Aren’t you done yet?”
[break][break]
Shaking her head in response Vespers grip on the bridge of her nose tightened before her body slumped against the stone wall, her hand sliding down her face until it fell to her side as she listened to the loud, screechy whining of her Digimon. She glared down at the cub at her feet, unwilling to give in to the childish act of defiance until the noise got louder and with it grew the attention of those around her. Vesper groaned, annoyed and fighting the urge to simply leave the Digimon alone in Tokyo for the next week; she brought herself up, moving forward away from the eyeing crowd of people who had stopped what they were doing to gawk.
[break][break]
“Fine, just knock it off.” she said, glancing back at the Leormon that promptly followed at the leave of his tamer, “We’ll get something quick to eat, then take a look around the area before the patrol car doubles back. Got it?” She watched the Digimon nod its head in agreement before she brought her attention back forward to the street.
