Colette Fontaine
Colette Fontaine Eighteen Neutral Letty Hope Data FACE CLAIM: Kougyoku Ren ANIMANGA: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic GENDER: Female HEIGHT: 5'5"; 5'7" with her hair up WEIGHT: 125 pounds APPEARANCE Letty's height and weight are average for someone her age, standing at 5'5" (when her hair's down) and weighing 125 pounds. Her magenta hair is quite long, reaching all the way down to her torso. Letty tends to keep her hair pinned up with a lovely golden pin; by doing so, it forms two loops of hair, adds two inches to her height, and creates two ponytails. Her eyes are pink and go together wonderfully with her magenta hair and peach-colored skin. In terms of skin irregularities, Letty has a diagonal scar on her left elbow, which she received after falling against a sharp object during an aikido lesson. In terms of attire, Letty loves wearing traditional oriental clothing, especially kimono, yukatas, and Chinese dresses. When practicing aikido, she'll wear clothing that is easy to move in, often typical martial arts wear. She'll always wear oriental slip-on shoes when going out, and will either take them off or wear slippers when inside someone's residence. Lastly, aside from the golden pin she wears, Letty will seldom wear accessories; if she does, it'll almost always be a pendant. She has a lot of jewelry, but it's usually hard to see when she's wearing a kimono or yukata. LIKES

HISTORY Letty was a twin born in Paris, France; however, she was raised a single child in Nice. Before she and her brother had even been born, it was decided that she would go to a friend of the mothers, as she wanted a child but could not give birth. Because of this, Letty was raised not knowing she had siblings, or that she was adopted. It was decided that she would be told at eighteen and meet with her brother then. However, when Letty was seven, tragedy struck. Her birth parents and brother got into a car accident. Her brother survived, but both parents were killed immediately. When her adoptive parents heard the news, they decided to tell Letty everything. Although shocked, the young girl was all right that such information had been kept secret. She hoped that her parents would adopt her brother, or that she could at least meet him, but he had already been adopted by another family who lived far away. That being said, Letty decided that someday she would go search for her brother all by herself. Of course, traveling by one's self was not always the safest idea, so the female decided she would take up a martial art to protect herself. Letty decided on aikido, and fell in love with it almost immediately. It was also then that she found she was interested in Japanese culture, specifically attire, anime and manga, and video games. Along with practicing aikido, she began to take Japanese lessons. To support her, Letty's adoptive parents took Japanese lessons as well and practiced speaking and writing together as a family. By the time she was thirteen, Letty could speak the language rather well, and started requesting otomes and galges that could only be imported from Japan. She also began watching and reading raw anime and manga. Additionally, she had earned the highest rank in aikido, and began carrying a staff almost everywhere. One could say she was doing pretty well. Unfortunately, that was when the world fell into chaos. It was bad enough Letty lived far away from her brother, but with everything that had been happening, her chances of reuniting him seemed like a pipe dream, and there was nothing Letty could do about it. At first, she was depressed, but with her family to support her Letty realized there was nothing gained by being sad. Instead, she chose to live her life the best she could, hoping that someday she would get to meet her twin. MEMBER NAME: Ros AGE: Twenty OTHER CHARACTERS: N/A ROLEPLAY SAMPLE Having been in Somarium for a little while now, Wendy was finally starting to get used to the concept that she was in a dream world. She still wished she had gotten to spend a bit of time back in her own world, especially since she had just been whisked out of another prior to arriving in Somarium. Wendy could also feel that her magic was not as potent as it was, and having already been in a situation where she lacked magic completely, this worried her a little. I guess it could be worse, she thought. It's definitely not as unnerving as Edolas was, after all. Magic and world hopping aside, the people here were pretty nice and informative. Wendy learned a lot about this world, about the strange device--or "Dreamberry" as people seemed to call it--she was given (she still couldn't comprehend how it worked without an SE-plug or lacrima to power it), and some of the things that occurred. And though the city was big, it wasn't too hard to navigate, especially after discovering that the Dreamberry had a map of the entire world. In addition to getting used to Somarium, Wendy had become able to understand the concept that people came from many different worlds. At first, it seemed really unbelievable, as if it were something right out of a fantasy novel. But once Wendy started thinking about how she was asleep back in her own world and had ended up in another world herself, the idea made much more sense. And honestly, it was kind of interesting hearing about other worlds--what life was like on them, how in some worlds the only forms of "magic" that existed were simple illusions, and so forth. It still seemed like something out of a book, but it wasn't too hard to comprehend--perhaps Wendy's visiting Edolas could be thanked for that? That said, there was still one thing Wendy couldn't understand: How she came from a different point in time from her friends. They mentioned things she had not yet experienced, such as ending up seven years in the future without aging, being attacked and accidentally kidnapped thanks to a guild that had a personal vendetta against Fairy Tail, and even battling someone who could use Sky God Slaying magic in a tournament and tying with her--Wendy didn't think she was that strong, after all. It was pretty unbelievable, but Wendy still requested that she not be told any more details, just in case. Three questions floated around in her head: First, were her friends from the "future", or was Wendy from the "past"? Second, how were they able to arrive here from different points in time? Finally, why was is that only a few of her friends were here? Wendy had contemplated each question multiple times, but still came up with no answer. She had asked others these questions, too, but the people she asked weren't entirely sure, either. Wendy had thought about finding whoever had the highest position in this world, but she didn't know who they were, or if they even existed as a physical entity. While those three questions continued to confuse Wendy, one thing was certain: Even though her friends were from a different point in time, the only thing that really changed about them was their magical strength. Wendy could sense they were much more powerful than when she was last with them. But other than that, they were still the same people she knew from the point in time she was taken from. They still had the same quirks, the same interests, and even looked the same. And sure, she would've liked to see Carla--and maybe even Mystogan--here, but it was truly a blessing that she wasn't all alone in this world. Thinking about that, Wendy smiled. It doesn't matter if they're from a different point in time, or if only a few of them are here. What matters is that they haven't changed, and that they're here with me now. |
