Leon Hargrave
Leon Hargrave Nineteen Neutral Lee Strength All Groups FACE CLAIM: Hyur ANIMANGA: Final Fantasy XIV GENDER: Male HEIGHT: 5'11" WEIGHT: 205 lbs. APPEARANCE Considered relatively tall where he's from, Leon holds himself in a stable stature. He wears light colored shirts, usually button down and long-sleeved with a pair of dark denim jeans. On the ring finger of his right hand is a black titanium ring with a design etched into it. Inside of the band is his name, nothing more. His brown hair is kept at a short-medium length, always cut back once it reaches over his ears completely. Blue eyes look back at you, light and clear with a look as if to promise you something. Many call him a pretty boy for a reason, and though saved for only a few people, his smile could melt the resolve of many. A babe cries in the nursery, awake and in need of a pair of warm arms to encircle him and make him feel safe. His name is Leon, the second born child of Melissa and Avery Hargrave. The father comes in, escorted by a nurse, and he takes the crying boy into his arms, making slight hushing noises as he holds him, looking down at the new human he helped bring into this world. Slowly, another person is brought into the room, one of the boy's uncles, Avery's brother. Family is already close and important, and the infant has calmed down, no longer crying, but simply looking up into the face of the two men who were giving him attention. From the time he was born, Leon was surrounded by family, people who loved him. He had an older brother, Craig, and in a few short years would have a younger brother as well. That would be all the siblings he would have, and it would be all he'd ever want. More than he wanted at times even. But the love in the family was strong and unending, and to this day it is clear that he would do absolutely anything to protect his loved ones. Only six years old, Leon stands in the line, holding his mother's hand and looking around the airport. His father was stationed in another country now, and they were moving to be there too. All Leon understood was that they had to go live somewhere else for a little while. Because his father's job wasn't going to be here anymore. He didn't really know what to think of it all, but his brother was still mad. Just a little bit ago, when they were all in the car, he was telling their parents how much he hated them. It wasn't true of course. He was just angry that he was being taken away from all of his friends. Craig got like that sometimes. Ever since Leon can remember, his father was in the American army, an officer who moved from station to station over the course of twenty years. He started before Leon was born, and didn't stop until he was killed by a spy. This memory was when they were moving from their home in Florida to South Korea. Leon and his family lived there for six years, and then Avery was promoted and had to start work at Japan. Now it was Leon's turn to be angry, while his brother whom had obtained a diploma at this point got to go back to America to go to college there. Both Leon and his younger brother learned the new language quickly, mostly because they had to. It was all of this change in his life that made Leon so risilient. A small line of light could be seen under the door, and within his room laid Leon. With another boy. They had been dating for a few months, and had kept it on the down low, leading everyone to believe that they were only friends. Leon was nervous, and he didn't let his eyes leave the book that he was reading, even though he could feel the other boy's eyes on him. Sixteen years old and still innocent in terms of his virtue, he wasn't so sure he was ready for the next step. It had been discussed, and he had agreed to finally give his boyfriend what he had been wanting for awhile. But he didn't know what his parents would think, and it wasn't as if they were alone. Leon always wanted nothing more than to please his family. He was afraid to come out to them, and thus wound up being too scared to actually go all the way with his then boyfriend. When he ended up going back on his promise to do it, he got his heart broken by a boy whom was too interested in the physical. Of course now he sees that it was a good thing he had refused, and that he wasn't with the right guy at the time. But the next guy he was with actually cared for him, and by then he had told his parents that he was gay. His father was upset at first, but in time learned to accept his son like his wife did from the moment he told them. Bending down, Leon placed a rose over the grave and kneeled down in front of it. He swallowed the lump in his throat and looked up at the sky. College didn't matter anymore. Not with everything going on back at the country he had come to know as home. Even if he did come from here, the United States, it was Japan that needed him. As a tamer, it was his duty to protect the country from those that were invading it and trying to take it over completely. Nothing influences Leon's actions other than his desire to protect his family and friends in Japan. It was there that it seemed the threat was the largest. And though it was a shock to his mother that he was a tamer, she didn't waver from his side one bit. Craig remained in the United States, where their father now laid to rest. More than anything, Leon wants to help put a stop to this invasion and bring peace back to his home. MEMBER NAME: Justin AGE: 24 OTHER CHARACTERS: Nobody yet ROLEPLAY SAMPLE It was funny how completely clueless Zack could be when you considered the fact that he was a telepath. People liked to think that telepaths were psychic, which wasn't exactly accurate. He didn't see things that other people didn't, just merely could read minds, and communicate through thoughts with other people. But you could say that he had powers rooted in mentality, and that should give him an edge on things other people didn't see. Yet he was so completely in the dark about the guy who had decided to place himself in the middle of his breakup. Maybe not in the middle so much as at the end, but he was still interrupting Zack's private time, which wasn't something he was too happy with. He had just broken up with his girlfriend - ex-girlfriend - now he wanted to just do what he did best after a break up. Finding some friends and having a good time out. Some food, some booze, and bring on the fun. Looking over toward mister "could have been better," Zack didn't respond, instead just giving him this look that told him he so did not want some stranger taking up his personal space. On a day where he didn't just break up with somebody, he might not mind. Too bad this guy just had to pick the wrong time to put himself in front of Zack. And he thought that that would be the end of it, that this slightly older looking male figure would just turn and leave him alone like he wanted. Or leave him to be alone for an hour before gathering with people he knew. But that just didn't seem to be the case, as he decided to say something else. Something that irritated Zack for whatever reason. He didn't know why, but it got underneath his skin, and not only did he cast another not-so-pleasant look his way, but he gave a very loud huff. "Dude, seriously? You don't know me. Why the hell are you listening in on my conversations and then coming up to me to talk about them?" Crossing his arms, he turned to face the intruder full on. He wasn't the least bit interested, but he might as well get things done now instead of giving him the opportunity to try to further this "conversation." "But since you're so damned curious, how about I just help settle things? Breakups? One of the easiest things for me to do. I'm not feeling anything for them anymore, I cut things off before they can get messier. They're the ones with the problems. From start to finish honestly." And with that he rolled his eyes and turned back around and began walking off. Again. |
